ISS Contract

I understand that participation in the In-school Suspension Program is a priveledge. As such, I will promise to follow all of the ISS Rules. These rules included, but are not limited to, the following:
  1. Students must bring textbooks and necessary study materials when reporting to ISS. Work only on school work or supplemental learning materials assigned by the ISS instructor.

  2. Students are ineligible to return to regular classes until all ISS is complete; If absent on assigned ISS day, student will report to ISS on the day he/she returns.

  3. Student must remain in ISS until end of school day or make up a full day of ISS.

  4. Violation of ISS rules will result in additional days of ISS or OSS.

  5. Students are to report to ISS no later than the tardy bell for 1st period. Students who are tardy will not be admitted.

  6. No jackets, coats, caps, or hats will be allowed in ISS. If a cold ISS environment is anticipated, a sweater or sweatshirt should be worn.

  7. No passes to lockers, class, labs, support groups, tutoring, or the like will be given. Do not leave your assigned seat unless permission is given. (Emergency evacuation and procedures will be followed.)

  8. Do not talk. If you have a question, raise your hand.

  9. Do not sleep or lay your head down on the desk.

  10. Sit in the direction of your desk.

  11. Keep your desk and area in a clean condition, free of paper.

  12. Do not mark on desks or any other surfaces in the room.

  13. This program is a privilege and may be withdrawn as a consequence for unacceptable behavior.

  14. If a student misbehaves in ISS, he/she may be dismissed from ISS or assigned additional days of ISS.

  15. If a student is dismissed from ISS for inappropriate behavior, he/she will be suspended from school for one (1) or more days, and upon returning will be expected to continue the number of ISS days remaining in his/her assignment. I have read and understand the above rules
