The Federal Stimulus Package Funds
The ARRA
The America Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 calls for over $80 billion in additional federal funds for K-12 schools.
What does this mean to you?
In rough numbers, the new funding comes to about $870.60 more per student per year for the next two years.
There are three areas in which these new funds can be spent:
1. Title I
2. IDEA
3. "State Fiscal Stabilization"

Do the materials offered by Advantage Press qualify for these funds?
Yes.
Our Discipline Packets as well as our Academic Learning Packets qualify for the funds under the "improvement of teacher effectiveness" provisions as stated in the state Governors' applications to the US Secretary of Education. It stated that there must be assurances that "the state will take actions to address improvement of teacher effectiveness and compliance with Title I requirements to address inequities in the distribution of high quality teachers between low and high poverty schools and to ensure that low income and minority students are not taught at higher rates than other children by inexperienced, unqualified, unqualified or out of field teacher."
